International Qur’an Reciter Syamsuri Firdous (Indonesia)
In July 2025, Aspire Promotions, in partnership with Tooba Africa Foundation, proudly hosted internationally acclaimed Qur’an reciter Syamsuri Firdous from Indonesia on his first visit to South Africa. Widely regarded as one of the top and most respected Qur’an reciters in Indonesia, with a global travel and recitation portfolio, his visit marked a historic moment. He was officially welcomed by the Consulate General of Indonesia at the Consul General’s residence. All programmes were hosted exclusively in Cape Town, including recitations and engagements at prominent masjids, most notably the historic Auwal Masjid, the first mosque in South Africa. The two-week visit also included cultural exchanges, site visits, and curated experiences of Cape Town, strengthening meaningful relationships between South Africa and Indonesia and building strong ties with the Indonesian government.
